Red Velvet Morning!

Hey Mom, Mr. Bo and Chan....my faithful blog readers. My Lord, it is Thanksgiving Day! Happy Thanksgiving interwebs. It is exactly 3:42 a.m. and I just finished my first homemade red velvet cake for our family fellowship. Aren't I adventurous considering the fact that Evan will be awake in about 40 minutes to say Hello to me. It was worth it! I feel so, well, sleepy but happy at the same time. I only wish that I could complete this type of task during the daylight hours. Here are a few pics of the adventure: I know that this is making someone out there hungry!
Notice the clean bottles on the counter...no, I do not know why the toothpaste is in the background...nor do I care at the moment.
And just in case you need a dose of reality, this is what I will be cleaning in a few.
And of course this is how I feel right this very moment...crazy!
Last peek, this is how my creation will arrive tomorrow...all dressed up and ready to be devoured by the folks I love. I sure hope they appreciate this homemade goodness.
Happy Thanksgiving...hey let's try to comment on the page this time and share with me what you are thankful for this year. I'll start...my Dad's health and presence after a little daredevil stunt this week and of course my Superhubby and minis are always at the top of the list. Mommy, you too!

Sibling Love

No words necessary...well except that maybe she needs a bow on her head. And please excuse our wardrobe, they were just getting out of bed. Aren't they adorable?

Saturday Morning Fun

Ethan and I woke up bright and early Saturday with one thing on the brain...homemade pancakes. He arrived at the side of my bed and informed me that I needed to get up and cook with him. We began the task by checking out pioneer woman's blog for her recipe. After a peek at the site, we began measuring and off we went. My helper did a great job at stirring and even a flip or two.
Aren't you getting hungry just looking at our dish?
He is available for catering anytime!

2 Months Old!!

Evan is now eight weeks and I a compelled to add a post all about her growth and latest. Evan is full of life and learning lately. She watches all of us very closely, especially Ethan. She has survived all of her brothers kisses. The only time she is okay with the car seat is when she is sleeping inside it.
We have a good time getting her to sit up at my office. She is a crowd pleaser already!
She has even made a trip to see the best pediatrician in the world, Dr. Brannon. As you know, it was the first of many trips in the next year.
She is wearing size 2 diapers and 0-3 month clothing. She still wakes up about every three hours at night for feedings, but we are surviving just fine. She drinks about 3 and a half ounces in a feeding. She is still spitting up quite a bit but it's getting better.

8 weeks of awesomeness!

It may not be in Webster's Dictionary, but awesomeness is the best way to describe how it feels to be a mother of the two greatest littles in the world. Evan has quickly asserted her place in the family and we are all adjusting well. No doubt there are days that I want to drive to Atlanta without slowing below 80 mph. Thankfully, somehow I am able to see the light with the help of family and loved ones to encourage along the way. It also helps that I have an incredible husband that does more than the average mate to help. Here's what you really want....pictures of the littles: Big Brother in an authorized attempt at holding her.
Ethan drinking milk to grow big and strong!
Pop Bo with his hands full with both littles.
Evan getting acquainted with the lamb seat.
Sweet Girl after a wash up and wearing fresh clothing.
More to come later!
